Catherine (Katie) Kinsey

Catherine (Katie) Kinsey is the Founder and President of Kinsey Family Governance LLC, a firm specializing in devising, emplacing and empowering family governance systems and multi-generational strategic plans, as well as building family legacy and stewardship competencies for prominent families. Katie has over 30 years experience guiding families of great wealth, with more than 20 years in senior leadership positions. She has most recently been the President of a multi-family office company where she established the family governance and risk management initiative in addition to her executive management responsibilities.
Katie's past experiences include working in Asia with a complex multi-jurisdictional international family to provide executive oversight of the family office and build their family governance effort. Seminal to the governance effort, Katie created a 100-year wealth preservation plan encompassing the family's human, intellectual and social capital, its diverse businesses and its financial structure. An integral part of both the governance and the 100-year plan was the development and implementation of customized educational programs for family members of several generations so they could assume leadership roles in governance and the management of their collective and individual wealth.
Prior to this experience, Katie was the Global Head of Client Education Activities for JPMorgan Private Bank where she expanded and deepened the Next Generation Program and developed a new women's initiative. Both programs were designed to provide the private bank's top global clients with family leadership, communication and financial stewardship capabilities.
She was the Chief Operating Officer of Circle Financial Group, LLC, a wealth management business. Her responsibilities included establishing the office and operating systems, and serving on the executive committee and partners' working committee. In addition, she has worked in executive and management positions for financial institutions such as GEM Capital Management, Inc., LF Rothschild & Co., Citibank, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Katie earned a B.A. in History from the University of California at Los Angeles. She is a Member of The Rockefeller University Council. She has also served as a Trustee of St. Andrew's School (Del.).
Katie and her husband Clint live in New York City. She has two sons.
